Just like doctors make the worst patients, the same can be said about astrologers. Well maybe not everyone, but in my case it’s true. I was a professional astrologer for a number of years, but it just became too overwhelming. I no longer had a life of my own; I was doing natal and karmic charts 24/7, or so it seemed. I had people calling me from England, Germany, Holland, and other neighboring countries.
I’m not talking horoscopes that you read in the daily newspaper here! I’m talking about astrological charts that go into specific details about a person’s entire life. When you start telling someone about their past, which of course they can verify, I believe many clients begin to feel you’re like their shrink and they can tell you anything! And they do! Well they would try to anyway, but I would stop them and tell them that they were here for me to tell them about their lives and not the other way around!
In any case, I no longer do charts except progressive charts for Patrick, my family and friends, and myself, but why I do my own chart is beyond me. I do it every year for the upcoming year and then put it away in a drawer and forget about it until the end of the year. I then take it out and look at the predictions I made and say, “Oh yeah,… and that happened,…. oh, I knew I should have been more careful during that time”,….etc. I prefer to live this way. I don’t want to have a piece of paper telling me how to live my life, but it’s good to know all the same, especially for important matters. Hmm,… is that a contradiction I just made?!
Maya Muses: Once again I go back to the question: Is most of our lives predestined, or do we have free will? I have seen way too many things foretold in an astrological chart for me not to believe in the former and to doubt the latter.

We,my hubby and I ,did sell “New Age” books ,music,incense and other things on mail order,this was before Internet….a very looong time ago.
We had the strangest people calling us!
One late night,some guy called us from a phone booth,yes, it was even before cell phones!
He said he was standing in the middle of nowhere?And Ufo’s was after him!
And asked us if we could tell him what to do???
How are you going to answered that?
Sorry,but forgotten what we did,it was in the middle of the night! We were sleeping!

I believe some of it are predestined,but that we also have our free will to chose….
Could talk a lot about these things…
How about in our family? My Mum and my two brothers and I are all Sagittarius’s and my Dad was a Taurus….he didn’t had a chance…

Tina and Mia, as I said Astrology is much more than just your Sun sign. No two charts are alike, even with twins being born, because minutes between birth can change a chart completely. Some people although they are born under a certain sign are very weak in that sign and stronger in another sign, so you really do have to look at each individual chart.
I too think we have a certain amount of free will, but I also believe that many important things that happen in our lives are predestined. How we react to those situations is where free will comes in.
Then again, I see the time we spend on this Earth as a school and we’re here to advance spiritually….therefore, those predestined things that happen in our lives are just lessons we chose to learn during our stay this time around.

A friend of mine did do a reading for me once for my birthday… she of course needed to know where and when I was born, most of it was spot on. She said something about having alot of Libra in my sign..
I will tell you a funny story from when I was a student nurse. I did clinical placement for a few months and most of the time would end up reassuring the families of patients or try to. When my friend Vivi came to visit me in London, she passed out on the Subway plat form and banged her head and needed to go to hopsital. 4 hours of waiting in A & E, I don´t know who was more anxious, her because she was scared of missing her train or me because I was now the next of kin and had to wait for the nurses to look after her.

As i said; I do think we see life in the same way…
And I do know that it is so much more in a horoscope than the Sun sign….
What I experience in our family is certainly proof of that!
Life is a school and hopefully we will advance to the next level…
