…… Or more precisely, we are not from where we think we are! I read an interesting article today by astronomers who believe that our solar system is not really a part of the Milky Way! We actually come from a small neighboring galaxy by the name of the Sagittarius Dwarf galaxy!!!
Apparently larger galaxies like the Milky Way absorbs smaller dwarf galaxies and make them a part of their system which is what is happening to us, as many scientists now believe. It explains a number of discrepancies of why the Milky Way has always appeared in the night sky from a 60° to 90° angle and why our solar system is not in alignment with the galaxy’s ecliptic, which it should and would be if we truly belonged to the Milky Way!
In other words, the Milky Way is spinning around like a Merry-Go-Round and our solar system is spinning around like a Ferris Wheel, or vice-versa depending on which way you want to look at it. The main thing is, we’re turning like the Sagittarius Dwarf galaxy which is slowly being consumed by the bigger Milky Way. Therefore, if we truly belonged to the MW, we should be in alignment with everyone else in the galaxy, but we’re not! It’s an incredible revelation!
As a kid, I’ve always been fascinated by astronomy and I’ve always wondered about us being on the outskirts of the galaxy, sort of like being on the outside looking in; now I’m beginning to see why! Perhaps that’s why we’ve had no concrete proof of communication with extra-terrestrials. If what these astronomers are saying is true, then we in fact are the aliens in this galaxy!
Maya Muses: No I haven’t been downing one too many Margaritas or Kir Royals, but it’s mind-boggling to think that what we’ve been taught all our lives may not be true and that our home in this vast Universe really isn’t our home!
