It’s All Maya!

If Life is an illusion, then why do I keep banging my head against the wall?

Si la Vie est une illusion, pourquoi je n'arrête pas de me taper la tête sur les murs?

Viva Las Vegas For The Holidays!

November 24th, 2008 · 4 Comments

I know, Las Vegas is not the first place that comes to mind when you’re thinking about your Winter Holidays, but it could be an interesting alternative if you’re tired of the usual ski vacations where there’s as many people on the slopes as Caesars Palace Las Vegasthere are people walking down the Champs-Elysées on a warm summer evening!  The great deals that Las Vegas offers from airline tickets to hotel rooms, to some of the finest dining outside of Paris can be quite enticing.

I’ve always loved Caesars Palace even back in the day when Vegas was for gamblers and didn’t cater to families and children.  It was a completely different atmosphere than what we find today, but one thing hasn’t changed, well two if you’re counting the obvious; casinos and gambling, but I’m referring to the entertainment!

Bette MidlerMore than ever, Las Vegas is known for the international stars who headline all the top shows on the Strip, and there’s no other place on Earth that puts on more spectacular shows!  Some of the top selling concerts and specials at the moment are Le Rêve, Elton John and the Fab Four Live.  When Celine Dion decided to end her stint at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, the big question was who could replace her?  It’s not easy to follow such an incredible entertainer as Celine Dion, but Bette Midler has taken on that task.  We mustn’t forget, however, that Bette Midler is the Divine Miss M!  At 61 years old, not only can she still sing, dance, and entertain; she’s looking better than ever!

Another show stopper is of course the Cirque du Soleil!  I think Cirque du Soleilthe magic of the Cirque du Soleil not only lies in their storytelling, but more importantly in their ability to defy what seems humanly impossible for anyone to do!  I’m always amazed at how anyone can stand on one hand!  People are genuinely excited when the Cirque comes to their city, well Las Vegas has not one, not two, but six of their shows to choose from!

So if you’re out there shoveling snow and the sunny Vegas Strip is beginning to look pretty good, be sure to check out Las Vegas show tickets for all the information that you’ll need!

Maya Muses:  Hmm!  Patrick and I were planning on putting up the Christmas tree soon, but maybe I should take down our suitcases instead and start packing!

All of Las Vegas is Mayaland!!! They do have the Mirage in Las Vegas! Afterall, when you’re in the desert, mirages do appear!

I saw a mirage when I was in the Sahara Desert in Egypt, I kept seeing an oasis up ahead with palm trees and beautiful blue water and it looked as if it was just a few miles up ahead, but as we kept going, we never managed to reach it! LOL!

I have seen it too…You never reach it…Because it is not there…
It is like trying to find the beginning or end of a rainbow!

But I know people who go into “realities” or ” a mirage” that only they can see….

I once saw a”,mirage, realty”that was just in front of me…I did not dare to enter the room…I always wondered what would have happened if I did!

    Wow, that sounds interesting!

I saw the end (or beginning) of a rainbow one time! Patrick, Katia and I were in a car going up a mountain and a huge rainbow was in the sky. We reached a certain part of the hillside and the rainbow just stopped right there in the ground. It was interesting because it was the only time we ever saw that! We were disappointed that we didn’t find the pot of gold, though!
