It’s All Maya!

If Life is an illusion, then why do I keep banging my head against the wall?

Si la Vie est une illusion, pourquoi je n'arrête pas de me taper la tête sur les murs?

Venice Under Water

December 3rd, 2008 · 2 Comments

Venice in WinterMia and I were talking about Venice and it brought back so many good and bad memories of this beautiful city!  The first time I went to Venice, I was so sick that I couldn’t appreciate the city as I should have.  The second time I went they were having the worst weather that Spring in I don’t know how many years!  It was raining, windy and cold the entire time I was there.  The third and fourth time was no better because of circumstances and traveling partners and conditions that I was ready to give up!  The fifth time was a charm!  Everything was just right and I could appreciate the beauty, the history, the art, the architecture and the uniqueness of what Venice offers to the world.  It’s sad to see that little by little the city is sinking!  Is there no way to stop it?

Floods in Venice

    It could…it depends…

But I do think that Venice will soon not be the city it once was…if not something is done.

Water is a powerful force, just as all the other elements; Fire;Air/Wind and Earth…

Mother Earth are making herself noticed in a way we can not ignore any longer….

I think she is telling us to wake up,things will change…we better prepare ourselves!

We human beings sometimes adjust our selves so easily, that we don’t see what is happening,
    before it is too late…

But how it will happen?Who knows?

Funny…your different experiences of the same city!Would you say it was like being in five different cities?

No, I think the city was the same….it was just that the circumstances didn’t allow me to appreciate the city for what it was. Basically I knew that it could be a wonderful place, but I wasn’t able to enjoy it. That’s probably why I kept going back until I could!
