Updates On The Caylee Anthony Saga And Reflections

January 25th, 2009 · 6 Comments

Latest development pertaining to the Caylee Anthony case is the suicide attempt by George Anthony missing his granddaughter Caylee.Grandfather George Anthony this weekend.  If we look closer at what took place between Thursday when George went missing and Friday when he was found, it’s obvious that this was more a cry for help than an actual suicide attempt.

By not showing up for several meetings that George had on Thursday (one for a job interview and another with a friend) and by leaving text messages to family and friends telling them he “didn’t want to live anymore and that he wanted to be with Caylee” is a sure sign that he wanted to be found!  Otherwise he would have hid himself in a motel somewhere with the five page suicide letter he had written, and Beautiful Little Maddie McCanndowned the bottles of medication with alcohol as he intended.

The tragedy that Casey Anthony has put her family through let alone the death of her beautiful little daughter is a tragedy indeed!  This is not a Maddie McCann case where it’s uncertain who took this beautiful child, or whether it was Maddie’s parents or an intruder who harmed her.  We don’t even know whether she’s dead or still alive somewhere!  There are more unanswered questions surrounding little Maddie’s disappearance, but this is certainly not the case in the Caylee Anthony murder.

Casey Anthony having fun weeks after her daughter was killed! The question that most people want to know from the overwhelming evidence is how could a mother murder her child and then go about her life for one month as though nothing in the world was the matter!  People have a hard time seeing her in the video store laughing and renting a movie with her boyfriend as though she didn’t have a care in the world!  And apparently she didn’t!  Why else would she get a tattoo saying Bella Vita (Beautiful Life) when she knew her daughter just died?

Instead Casey Anthony was out partying every night in nightclubs and bars, she went on shopping sprees cleaning out a girl-friend’s savings account by thousands of dollars.  Her purchases were all for herself and not one item was Party time is over!!!spent on Caylee because she knew that Caylee was no longer alive.  What could have pushed this selfish woman to kill such a beautiful little child?  When you see this two year old toddler looking at her great-grandfather on Father’s Day and her young mind is aware enough to understand that he must be exhausted with the family there in the nursing home upsetting his daily routine and the small child has the compassion to ask him, “Papa, are you tired Papa?”

What could have pushed Casey Anthony to take her young child’s life?  Most people want to believe she was pushed over the edge or that it was an accident; we can’t phanthom the idea that Little Caylee Anthonyperhaps she was planning this way ahead of time, searching the internet for the perfect murder, the perfect crime.  Evidence points to that being the case and still we don’t want to believe it!  People want to believe that it was an accident and that Casey Anthony put a heart sticker over the child’s mouth because she loved her daughter.  Have they thought that maybe Casey Anthony besides being a sociopath and narcissistic, that maybe she’s also sadistic?  Was that how she got Caylee to keep her mouth shut, by playing a game with her and putting a heart sticker over her mouth and then putting the duct tape over that and then placing her in the trunk of her car?

Maya Muses:  For what reason?…..Freedom.  Casey Anthony was young and she wanted to be free!  If justice is done (unlike Joran van der Sloot in the Natalee Holloway case) then that freedom will be taken away from Casey Anthony for the rest of her life, just like she took her child’s life away.

A question many are asking is, will the Death Penalty come back into play?

I think maybe grampa has too much to deal with in keeping secret things he and gramma may know about the murder. And he needed a way out. Hopefully things will start to come out in the open now.

I am not aware of that case… but it seems so sad… Many women I know would like to have a child, and are not able to…. and that woman had a perfect healthy little girl…. so sad…

this is one of the saddest, most disturbing situation that i can imagine…..my heart absolutely bleed for this little girl….

i think george wanted to draw attention from casey and that was his only intent….i do not like the anthony family at all….they are the definition of dysfunctional…..

this poor baby needs to be put to rest…can’t they take more samples from her little remains and get her a proper cremation/burial?

there is something wrong with this entire scenerio….

Kitkamom 1, I too think that George Anthony has way too much to deal with. Knowing that his granddaughter was killed by his own daughter is a burden too hard to bear at times. Still, I don’t think he really wanted to die.

As you say, I hope things will come out in the open now. Will this incite Casey to start talking because she almost lost her father? I don’t think so, her only concern is for herself! Cindy needs to do the talking, but will she? (Again, I don’t think so!)

Meredith, there were so many other options that the mother could have taken, rather than kill her daughter! Caylee’s grandparents would have taken care of her.

I think Casey (the mother) killed her daughter to spite her own mother Cindy! As wyt says, a very dysfunctional family!

Wyt, I too think that George wanted to draw attention away from Casey, but that in itself is a reason why I don’t think he really wanted to die. In his letter he says that Casey is innocent, if he really meant to kill himself, he probably would have taken the blame for the murder of his granddaughter. What would he have to lose (except his reputation) once he was dead and his daughter could have gone free? Or would she?

The evidence, as much as we know, his overwhelmingly against Casey Anthony! No one would believe that he had done it instead of her, but then again there is so much that is totally wrong with this scenario as you say. For instance, why did Cindy wash away evidence from the trunk of the car….she knew what she was doing!
