With the Olympic Games starting in less than a week, the eyes of the world will be on China, but what about Tibet?! No one has stopped the Chinese government from giving its financial support to the Sudanese government in their ethnic cleansing and the genocide taking place in Darfur. Will no country stand up to China in their continuous destruction and extinction of the Tibetan people!? I hope not!

Unfortunately for the athletes, we need to use the Olympics to make a statement on political issues. It would be wonderful that the games could be played in the spirit of sportmanship and that alone.
However, this is not the case and with China so incensed about how the world perceives them, it’s important to use this moment to bring attention to the plight of the Tibetan people and Darfur for that matter!
