What is wrong with the news media these days that they think we’ve gone back in time to 280 BC rather than living in 2008 AD? To listen to all the news stations lately, the debate between Sarah Palin and Joe Biden is being promoted like two gladiators in a prize fight for the Heavyweight Championship of the World, the Superbowl, and the World Cup all rolled into one!
If you listen to the news you would think people are gearing up to watch the debate, not to listen to what concerns most of us in this ever-changing world of ours, but to see whether 
Sarah Palin or Joe Biden will blunder big time! It’s almost as if people will be sitting in front of their TVs this evening like the ancient Romans in the Colosseum, hungry to see someone bloodied and massacred to death while chomping down on their pizzas and guzzling cold beer! Hmm, does that hit too close to home for some of you?!!!
If Sarah Palin can manage to get out a coherent sentence tonight, that in itself will be an amazing feat with all the pressure that the media has put on her! Joe Biden, on the other hand, will just waltz in as if he owns the place.
Why couldn’t this just be a debate between two potential vice-presidents? Well, thanks to the media, the Republicans are hoping for a David and Goliath showdown, while the Democrats are praying for a quick Mike Tyson KO! Without biting Palin’s ear I would think, although I’m afraid, Biden may very well chew off ours!
Maya Muses: I see this more like a Spartacus-Goliath match. If anyone remembers their Roman or Biblical history, then you know there are no winners. But,….for very different reasons!

I stopped reading and listening to the news media!
If they think this is what we, or ,as I can only speak for my self,I want to know,they are very wrong…
I know for a fact that most of us see the world with totally different eyes!Than the news media want us to believe!
The thing is,I think, that there is still many who don’t use their common sense…Or who think they don’t make a difference!
And so we let the media tell us what is the “right” way to think,be or act!But who have given them the right to tell us how we shall view our reality?
Well, there may be no winners it depends on how you see it!
Why does it always have to be a winner and a looser in the first place?
Okay…call me naive….But again, don’t we all need the same thing?
Gosh…Give me a break!

Well said Mia! Celebrities fall into the same category as the news media. They think just because they are for a candidate, we’re going to follow them like a bunch of sheep!
Like Barbra Streisand spews her rhetoric on her so-called blog, but doesn’t let people comment on what she says. I’m not surprised! Afterall, this is from an egocentric, narcississtic diva!
A woman who tears out flowers that the gardener put in because they’re not the right shade of pink and they don’t match her drapes, so they’re offensive to her eyes!
Okay, enough politics! I will comment on the debate between Palin and Biden and then basta! Enough is enough

You see what I mean! Come on give me a break! She met them in a dark room because she wasn’t looking as good as she wanted to for their first meeting!
I think she has forgotten that she has to eat, sleep and go to the toilet like everybody else! What a diva! She’s notorious, even in Hollywood, for being one!

I’m happy that the guys in “Il Divo”,don’t believe they actually are “Divos”….Not even on stage!
They can make mistakes and laugh about it!
They radiate genuine joy over what they do…
I think that is why so many loves them…
And their voices are fantastic!A perfect blend!
To have true self knowledge and self distance is a good thing to have in that “Crazy world”…
