It’s All Maya!

Yeah right!  Like the Supreme Court is going to decide to hear a case whether Obama isn’t!  Rumors have been going on for quite some time now that President-elect Obama is not an American citizen and that he was really born in Kenya rather than Hawaii. According to Obama’s paternal grandmother Obama’s mother could not leave Kenya until after his birth because the airlines would not let her fly at such a late date in the term of her pregnancy.

According to several family members in Africa, Obama’s grandmother and aunt were present at his birth in Kenya and after the birth Obama’s mother flew back to Hawaii and registered his birth there. There is a discrepancy in Honolulu as to which hospital he was born in (two hospitals claim he was born in theirs) and to the validity of his Hawaiian birth certificate.
 
A federal lawsuit was filed by Pennsylvania Deputy Attorney General Philip J. Berg asking that Obama produce a certified copy of his birth certificate.  He never did, but the case was thrown out of court by US District Judge R. Barclay Surrick, and was later appealed.   Another case brought by Leo Donofrio (and more than a dozen other lawsuits in several states, all citing the same issue) has finally made its way to the Supreme Court, but surely they’re going to nip this in the butt!

The Supreme Court Judges were to come up with a verdict today whether to hear the case or not.  As of yet I don’t know the results of that verdict, but give me a break!  Can you imagine what the members are saying behind closed doors in chambers!

Judge 1:  “It looks like we’re in a pickle!  Obama does not have a bona fide US birth certificate and it looks iffy that he meets the criteria to be president.” she says!

Judge 2:  “We know, but this is more than a pickle!  We’re in deep s**t  here!  Think how we’ll be massacred if we have to render a verdict that he’s not eligible to be president!”

Judge 3:  “I agree!  Can you imagine the rioting in the streets and the uproar we’ll create if we render that verdict?!”

Judge 4:  “But,….what about what’s legally right?!  What will history say later on when it’s verified that we had a president who legally did not qualify to be one?”

Judge 5:  “I don’t think anyone will look any further into this matter when we say, once and for all, that we’re satisfied that Obama is a US citizen, born and raised.”

Judges 2 & 3:  “Yeah, I think this thing’ll die down.”

Judge 6:  “Don’t be so sure!  There are people out there that haven’t let this thing die down for years and where will this lead us in the future?”

Judge 7:  “Yeah, if Schwarzenegger gets ahold of this, next thing we know he’ll be appealing that he should be allowed to run for president!”

Judges 4:  “We could be opening up a can of worms here!”

Judges 1 & 5:  “Hmm,…this isn’t good.”

Judge 8:  “Let’s take a vote, it’s Friday and I want to start my weekend.  I’ve got important things to do!  The holidays are coming upon us, the wife has a list of things for me to do, and I haven’t gotten any of the gifts I need to buy, so let’s make this a quick one.”

Judge 9:  “You’re right, the way I see it, we don’t have a choice.  He’s already been elected and this will turn the country upside down if we say that he’s ineligible, not to mention what Oprah will do!  She could take her billions and leave the country, she’ll be so mad!  The economy can’t afford that!    Besides, things can’t get any worse with him in power.  Let’s just vote aye for making him a bona fide citizen and we’ll have a drink and call it a day!”

Judge 3:  “All those in favor, say ‘Aye’!”

Judges 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 & 9:  “Aye!”

Judge 3:  “Those opposed say nay?”

Silence.

Judge 3:  “The ayes have it!  Let’s go get that drink!”
