2008 was a really great year! When I look back on it, it’s basically for the same reasons that part of 2007 was a great year! My Mom fell in love with Paris in 2007 and Katia in 2008! How could they not?! (Okay, I won’t go into the fact that my mom did not like Paris at all on her first trip back in 1978 and it took her almost thirty years to see the city that I love through my eyes!) Now she’s looking forward to visiting once again and as I told both Katia and my mom, next Christmas if all goes well, they’ll spend the holidays with Patrick and me in Paris!
Maya Muses: I hope that the reflections all of you have about the past year are happy ones and that the plans and dreams you have for the New Year will come effortlessly and happen better than you imagine!
Happy New Year!

When I’m looking back at 2008,this is what I see;
I did things, I did not think I dared to do..
I became more daring in just being myself…
And showing it…
And learned to trust my “senses” more, and not be too hard on myself…
I have met wonderful people, which I now consider to be close friends….
I traveled both inward, and outward and found so many treasures, seen so much beauty…
I learned to see/read behind all the masks and roles we all use, with more awareness than before…
I learned that even in the midst of pain ad confusion, that this too will pass….
I learned that I can never plan my life too far ahead…I have to dare to let go and trust that all will be fine…
I let myself be touched so deeply by someone,
and by doing this; I could embrace, love and accept myself and others as we truly are,in a way I did not think was possible…
I hope that mine and yours and everyones dreams and plans will come true…
But I also hope that we all will be open and flexible enough to let life surprise us as well…
That we are flexible enough to change direction and plans if this is what is needed..
Hope to meet you next year somewhere,
somehow….To enjoy the wonderful world of Illusions!
Hugs!

So,true!
But then again what is time?
Time for me has somehow not the same meaning anymore…everything is a constant Now!?
I have stopped running…
Now I trust ” sitting doing nothing letting the grass grow”,living in the Tao…
So see you…
It is in the cards you know!

I know! Have you read The Tao of Pooh? It’s a wonderful book that gives the principles of Tao in a childlike way so everyone can understand, or more importantly….for those who’d rather not take the time to read the Tao Te Ching.

I have read both…
I love “Nalle Puh”,that is what he is called here in Sweden!
Have you read the books about “Mumintrollet”,
by Tove Jansson?
Her books have helped me a lot, when I have been feeling low!
There are words of wisdom in every good book..
Have you read Joanne Harris books?
“Chocolate” is her most well known, but the others are great too…
Books are great!
Hmm,I was not going to sit here,I was going to take care of the dishes…Living in the Tao,you never really know how your day will look like, lol!

No, I don’t know Tove Jansson. Has her work been translated into English or is that a dumb question! Lol. I didn’t read Joanne Harris’ book Chocolate, but I did see the film with Juliette Binoche! That was a good film, so I’m sure the book is even better! It always is!

Yeah…
I’m surprised you don’t know who she is!
Her books are translated in over 60 languages…
You look her up..
She died some years ago,but her books about “Mumintrollet” are almost as well known as the Swedish author Astrid Lindgren’s books….
The books that Joanne Harris’ wrote after “Chocolate”,are well worth reading…I loved them…
