It’s All Maya!

If Life is an illusion, then why do I keep banging my head against the wall?

Si la Vie est une illusion, pourquoi je n'arrête pas de me taper la tête sur les murs?

Quote For Today

October 5th, 2008 · 4 Comments

And they flew!Come to the edge.
   We can’t.  We are afraid.
Come to the edge.
   We can’t.  We will fall!

Come to the edge.
   And they came.
And he pushed them.
   And they flew.

Guillaume Apollinaire

Maya Muses:  When we’re afraid to take that first step, because it may not always be easy and sometimes a little scary; we miss out on so many beautiful and amazing experiences in Life where we can truly fly!

Love this quote! It is so true!

    I have experienced this in different ways;
In “reality”,in “dreams”,in “feelings and thoughts”!

“The first step” is sometimes so difficult to take…
But when we do,we often wonder what it was we were so afraid of….

    The unknown?

But the unknown is always there!

You don’t know for sure what is going to happen when you wake up in the morning,do you?
You may think you know, but you don’t…

    I had a dream once…

I had climbed up a very long corkscrew staircase..
Then I reach the top and there was a big door!
    The door was open…
    What I saw was nothing,just a dark space…
    Emptiness!
I sat down in the doorway, with my feet dangling
    down in this empty space….
It felt soft, warm and very comforting…Hard to describe…I sat there wondering: What shall I do now?I will not go down again…Am I supposed to throw myself out into this empty space? What if I fall?
All this kind of questions went through my head…
Then I lowered myself into this empty space…
And I didn’t sink or fall!
I was kind of “flying”,swimming, floating in this “energy”….
I guess this is the feeling the astronauts experience …
Then I saw a speck of light far,far in the distance,I decided to “swim, fly” towards it!
    Then I woke up!
    It was a powerful dream…
It told me to dare to go into the unknown…
To as you say; Truly Fly!

    Love that picture,by the way!

Sometimes we do need to be pushed!
To see that we don’t fall, but can Fly!

Wow! Fantastic dream Mia! (I thought the photo went perfectly with the quote.)

Tina, I think your dream was very symbolic of leaving your old life behind and all the heaviness surrounding that decision. Once you were in Madrid, you felt so much lighter.
