I have a whole list of favorite quotes that I would like to share: some are funny, some are spiritual, others are poetic or famous, and some just plain crazy. This won’t be an everyday sort of thing, or at least I don’t think it will be, but we’ll see.
Today’s Quote is by Woody Allen, and I must admit, I’ve used it so many times throughout the years that it’s practically become my own! I love it!
“I’m not afraid to die. I just don’t want to be there when it happens.”
Woody Allen
Maya Muses: I think Woody says it for all of us; it’s not so much that we’re going to die, but more importantly - how!

“My Mind is empty, so I can’t find anything there.” Is that a quote or were you talking about yourself at that moment?! LOL!!!
“Less is more.” That is what I live by and always quote! Especially when it comes to decorating our apartment! I tell Patrick, “No, less is more!” everytime he wants to bring something home. I would love to have our place completely Zen, but we’re way beyond that point!

When I use to live in Scandinavia, I loved the breads and pastries!!! Did you make your own matbröd, or Crank’s bread? They’re more like buns, aren’t they?

My mind is still kind of empty..lol!
An astrologer said to Ulf that he would like to have his place more Zen!
Ha,haven’t seen much of that yet!I try to clear the clutter once in a while, but somehow he always seems to bring home more stuff!Mostly books!
I like to have things organized,he calls his way;organic?Haven’t figured out what that means yet!!!???
Yes, I bake my own matbröd…Crank’s bread is actually fromCrank’s the veg.restaurant in London….And yes, they are more like buns!
Siesta time!!

Little boys love to fill their pockets with all kinds of stuff that they find: rocks, insects, broken pieces of just about anything they come across, etc. Men are little boys in a big person’s body, they still love to bring home things that are useless that they find. It’s up to us to tell them, “Basta! No! Enough is enough, no more!
I’m like Ulf, however, I can’t pass up a bookstore and not buy a book! I love them!

I know! It can become an obsession! Like pack rats who won’t throw anything away and it gets to the point where their things take over their lives! They can’t even move around in their houses, because of all the stuff!
No way! I couldn’t live like that! Yes my mantra is: Less is More!
One of my exes had a good one too: “All extremes are bad!”

Good one!
You know as we have a second hand bookshop , especially Ulf, have met and meet very interesting people….
People can loose them selves by collecting books, for example….
We have met many who live with books everywhere, even in their bath rooms….Who are so obsessed of buying more and more books even if they don’t read them….
Ulf cleared a 4 room flat from 40 000 books and a lot of other stuff some years ago!It took him 3 month!
It was a mess,for different reasons…
A old rich woman bought a lot of things everyday, she was lonely and by go shopping she filled up her days….
When she died…there was rooms full of unopened “things” she had bought…Everything you could imagined….She had money, things, but she died alone….
To fill life with more “things” is not my “thing”!
Life is so much more!
So ….Yes..Less is more….and better….
As long as “things” doesn’t own you,it is okay…
We use to look around our flat and think…What would we not be able to part from? And I tell you it is not much…

So true! Most things can be replaced. When we prepare for a hurricane, I tell Patrick, let’s take our photographs and that’s it!
I still need to put all our photos on CDs and then that’ll be even less to carry rather than all our photo albums.
Thank goodness I only buy books that I read! I have a few thousand books in my library, but I have read about 97% of them, and I’m working on the rest!
