By watching the news, you would think that you’ve changed the channel to some Hollywood gossip station!!! Since when have serious journalists decided to become celebrity hound reporters??? The irony is that most of these news stations are asking the question should Bristol Palin’s pregnancy matter in the upcoming elections! Give me a break! If the news media would stop gossiping about this issue and stick to the important matters at hand, most people would forget about it in no time. Instead, they’re the ones fueling the flames!
Besides, what does Bristol Palin’s pregnancy have anything to do with whether Sarah Palin will make a good VP? When you hear all this uproar, you would think that no other 17 year-old has ever found themselves pregnant out of wedlock!!! One would think we’re still in the Dark Ages instead of the 21st century! And for all those people who are saying that “…if Sarah Palin cannot control her daughter, then how can she take control of the government?….”. Don’t make me laugh! Can anyone really control their 17 year-olds 24/7 outside of being a tyrant? The answer is no! In case you forgot, think about when you were 17!!! Hmm!
Maya Muses: So to all those gossiping journalists, why not get back to the real issues at hand and Leave Bristol Alone! Give the American public more credit for their intelligence in dealing with what really matters to this country (ending the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, lowering inflation, reasonable healthcare for everyone, etc.) instead of thinking our concerns lie with a 17 year-old who will take the leap from a carefree adolescence to the responsibilities of adulthood in a matter of months!
