Maya Muses: What you see is not always what you get! But I’m sure that there are a lot of Japanese men who don’t care! Once again thanks to Sandy for this one.
God help us when this fashion hits Walmart!

What you see are not see-thru skirts. They’re actually prints
on the skirts to make it look as if the panties are visible.

They’re the current rage in Japan!

I’m not sure this is the skirt I would choose to buy,
but to each his her own!

My hand IMMEDIATELY went up to my mouth as I said “OH NO!” I pray that this does not come to the US….but then come to think of it, I did see some mighty short shorts at Starbucks a few weeks ago with ample flesh spilling out. Whether painted on or the real thing — not a pretty site.

This is hard to believe!
I can just imagine if even one girl wore such a skirt here in Jerusalem. The unofficial ultra-Orthodox “modesty patrol” would be up in arms.
Shalom to you, Maya.

That’s what I told Patrick, Harriet, when he said, “Oh I really like this new fashion!” LOL!!!

Dina, when I was in Jerusalem even a slightly short skirt was frowned upon, so I can imagine the reaction of the “modesty patrol” - they would go crazy!!!
Shalom to you as well!

Only in Japan! I don’t see this catching on in Paris, but I could be wrong!

I haven’t seen anyone wearing a skirt like this is Paris, but if I do, I’ll let you know! Lol.

Blecch - this is really weird! I hope this fashion doesn’t make its way to the U.S.

I agree it is kind of strange, but I’m sure someone in the States would object and say it’s indecent and they would then have it banned. At least from schools, and that I can understand!
