No I’m not welcoming Hurricane Hanna like a long lost friend! Just the opposite, I’m keeping an eye on her hoping she’ll stay out at sea, but I think that’s wishful thinking on my part more than anything else.
It’s times like these that you ask yourself if it’s worth living by the sea? Do the wonderful days spent walking on the beach or watching a family of dolphins playing in the ocean make up for the months of worrying that a hurricane like Katrina may approach and destroy everything you own?
Baby boomers who were planning on retiring near the coast, where the weather is warm, are beginning to have second thoughts, and who can blame them?! If hurricane season lasted two or three months - maybe,…. but six months out of the year is just way too long to be worried. By the number of beautiful homes going up for sale, it seems a lot of other people agree.
Maya Muses: I told Patrick, look how beautiful the Mediterranean Sea is and you don’t have to worry about hurricanes in the south of France!

It’s not Hanna that worries me, it’s Ike, and I’m the first one to say that the south of France is beautiful!
