It’s All Maya!

If Life is an illusion, then why do I keep banging my head against the wall?

Si la Vie est une illusion, pourquoi je n'arrête pas de me taper la tête sur les murs?

Coeur De Vies

Jean-Pierre Arnould’s Coeur de Vie

This past week for four days at the Hôtel de Ville there was a big event for making people aware of becoming a donor.

Unlike in the US where you can put whether you want to donate your organs on your driver’s license, here in France it’s a bit more complicated, but with the help of several organizations (Gregory Lemarchal, Laurette Fugain, and Greffe de Vie) they’re trying to change all that.

Maya Muses: What I want to talk about, however, is Jean-Pierre Arnould’s Coeur de Vies that was on display in front of the Hôtel de Ville in Paris for those four days.

It wasn’t the image that he had in mind. He imagined something much more grandiose, but changes were made.

Still with the lighting in the evening, I thought his heart looked great!!!

I love the shape of the heart and the building behind it is gorgeous!

Pam, I think the shape is exactly what makes the heart so unique and I agree, the Hôtel de Ville (city hall) is beautiful!

Does anyone know the name of a girl that sing at the left stage? A girl and a boy played the piano. I love them but dont remember the name of a band.

So nice to see a photo of Patrick. You must be feeling right at home with your many friends in Paris.

Tell Patrick that I sent a plate of veal piccata back the other night because there was entirely too much lemon. L’Isola’s (veau citron) in the 5e has me spoiled. I really should have had Patrick give me some cooking lessons before he left!

Tata, I think you’re talking about Julie Zenatti. You can see her here on You Tube.

Hi Harriet, Patrick is enjoying his new job. As he says, he loves going to work each day (and that’s saying a lot!)

As for me, I am quite happy being with my friends once again, most of them who I’ve known for more than 25 – 30 years. They’ve always been my “family” in Paris during all the years I was growing up here! Next year will be 40 years since I first came and fell in love with Paris!
