Celebs Are Coming Out Of The Woodwork As The Campaign Winds Down!

September 19th, 2008 · 9 Comments

The Two OOsNow that the campaign is nearing its end, all the Hollywood celebrites are coming out of the woodwork to voice their opinion.  Hey, that’s fine!  This is a free country and everyone should be heard.  But,….and there’s always a but, where do these egocentric people get the notion that just because they endorse a certain candidate, people are going to follow them like a bunch of sheep!?  Hmm, maybe because some people do!!!

Matt DamonFor the rest of us, however, just because celebrities are able to voice their opinions and have the exposure of millions of people listening to what they say, doesn’t mean that fans are going to vote like them!

Like Matt Damon, “Oh Matt! Of course I’ll not vote for Sarah Palin if you dislike her that much!  We wouldn’t want a bad Disney movie, now would we?  And by the way, what should I have for breakfast tomorrow Matt, now that you’re taking care of all my decision making for me?!”

Lindsay LohanOr Lindsay Lohan going on a rampage against Palin and now mums the word because Obama refused the help she offered!

Or the D-celebrities of The View who are delusional and tear each other apart thinking they can actually persuade people to vote like them! LOL!!!

Or Oprah, she wasn’t afraid to go campaigning for Obama earlier this year, but what is she afraid of now?  Is she worried that having Palin on her show will take votes away from Obama?  Of course she is!

Angelina JolieThey should all take a look at Angelina Jolie and maybe keep quiet!  Like Angelina said, “I have not decided on a candidate.  I am waiting to see the commitments they will make on issues like international justice, refugees and how to address the needs of children in crisis around the world.”  Is that why people are interested in hearing which candidate she supports, and why both Obama and McCain are trying to get her to endorse their ticket?  Could be!  (You hear that Lindsay?!!!)

Maya Muses:  If celebrities wants to talk politics, talk politics, not nonsense!  I may agree with them, or disagree with them, but if they make intelligent, coherent arguments for one candidate and against another, I’ll listen to both sides and decide for myself who I want to vote for.

As far I see it we all live in Mayaland….

Have I told you of the experience Ulf and I had many years ago?Not sure I have or not?
We stood on the sidewalk and shared a carrotjuice..
It was on a street we walked on many.many times…
Suddenly both of us felt like we were standing in a “bubble” or something, and the reality around us became like a movie….
We saw the people passing by,the cars, the tramp on the street below, heard the traffic noise, the birds, etcetera, but it was like a film…
That we for a short period of time, were taken out of ,the Illusion,”Mayaland and really saw It as it truly was!
After that experience we see the world with different eyes…
It was a magical moment that we both shared….

Now we are going out!The sun is shining,Mayaland is sometimes very beautiful…

Mia, I’ve had that happen as well, it’s almost as if you become removed and you get the “whole picture” of how this earth is just a big play with everyone playing their part. It does make you see our existance here on the Earth in a new light. How wonderful that you were able to experience that together with Ulf!

One time, as Patrick and I were driving through the desert, there were mountains on both sides. I all of a sudden felt like it was just a setting, like scenery in a play or on a movie studio lot. I kept looking at the mountains and their volume seemed to have disappeared, like it was just a gigantic posterboard placed there to make me think it was real.

It’s hard to explain…… No! I hadn’t eaten any hallucinogenic mushrooms, nor smoked anything for that matter! Lol!!! It was seeing the world two dimensional rather than three. It was very eerie and lasted for several minutes that I had to ask Patrick to pull over so I could get out of the car and really look at the mountains!

Yes! Mayaland can quite often be very beautiful indeed!

    that happens to me sometimes….

I remember once when I spent the night with my previous boyfriend in London I woke up and looked around and thought to myself Is this my life?” I felt like I was watching TV.

When I got my own place In Madrid, the same thing happened. I had a rough start when I moved here but one night I woke up again looked around, and couldn´t believe the reality. I had peace!!

Tina, I’m really proud of you! It’s not easy to leave behind everything you know and go where your heart tells you to go. Believe me, I’ve done it a number of times in my life! (When I left the States and moved to Paris, when I left Paris and moved to Madrid, when I left Amsterdam and moved to Copenhagen, haha! You get the picture!)

Like you said, however, when you have peace that’s when you know you’ve made the right decision!

I think we all have experienced this sometime…

Tina, I think we both experienced this too when we sat on the bus to Vivien!?
It was dark,we didn’t know where we were, not where we should get off,we sat there together listening to a wonderful baritone singer singing on your Ipod….
It all felt so right, but at the same time as we were taken out of time and space…It could have gone on forever….Magical…

And Tina!I’m proud of you too!You know that already….

I know what you mean Lynn…I have experienced similar things….

    Hmm.Off topic again!?

We’re all on a Magical Mystery Tour that most of the time we aren’t aware of! When we do become aware of it, we realize the importance and unimportance of it all!
