I’m usually the one who plays an April Fool’s Day joke on family and friends - nothing outrageous, just a little prank or two. Well, this time my mother decided to turn the table on me. 
We had talked on the phone earlier in the day and April Fool’s didn’t even come up, so when she called me this evening to tell me that she was going on a cruise to Alaska with my aunt, I believed her!
Afterall, my mother is still a constant traveler going from one place to another. In 2007, at 85 years young, she went halfway around the world, stopping everywhere along the way for weeks and months at a time! She went from Pittsburgh to Charleston, SC then to Paris and the south of France, back to Pittsburgh over to Chicago, then Ohio, and made her way to Colorado. From there she went to California and on to Hawaii. She returned from Hawaii back to California then to Texas and to Mexico. From Mexico, back to Texas and then she made her way to Charlotte, NC before finally returning to Pittsburgh! So, is it any wonder when she said that she got this great deal to go on a cruise to Alaska, I didn’t doubt her for a second! I wanted to hear all the details!
Maya Muses: She was so pleased that her fib went over so well with me that she decided to call my brothers and sisters and play the same joke on them! I’m sure they fell for it hook, line, and sinker! Hope everyone had a fun April Fools Day!

Your mom smart! I…..well….I’m always being picked on because I couldn’t take a good joke. So April fool’s Day is a bit of a bad luck day for me anyways. Bleh!

Hi Ada, yeah my mom is smart! I’m sure that you’re smart too! Don’t pay too much attention to kids who pick on you, they’re the ones who are insecure.
