Maya Muses: Jean-Pierre, one of my exes, sent me a really funny video yesterday that’s in the same tongue in cheek spirit as a post I wrote back in April entitled, Will Mexico Have To Build A Wall Around Their Borders To Keep Out Americans. With the bleak economy in the US, millions of jobs being lost, prices rising, etc., perhaps the relationship that the United States has with Mexico will drastically change in the future! Very funny video. Even so, the reality is that millions of workers are in this position every morning. Unfortunately, there are fewer and fewer employers who show up now to hire manual laborers. Sad, sad, sad…

For some reason I feel sorry for the manual laborers and the blue collar workers who are losing their jobs, and less so for the corporate executives who find themselves in the same situation.
I was talking to a friend today, who has a friend that was making more than $300,000.00 a year for a number of years and lost his job. If he didn’t manage to put away a nice sum of money to tide him over until he finds another job….well, like I said, I still feel sorry for the guy living month to month. When he loses his job, it’s a disaster!
