I am angry! Not so much as to who wins this election! As I’ve said before, it makes very little difference who becomes president! All politicians promise you one thing and then do what they want once they’re elected! That said, I do care, however, that the person who is elected, is elected fair and square!
There is so much corruption surrounding this election in the US, it’s unbelievable! Millions of people are being registered to vote, (Good!) but, when you have millions of voter registrations that are bogus, then something must be done! Yet, not that many people seem concerned. Why?
Justice needs to be done! These people from ACORN who have gone out and registered more voters than there are people in certain counties, should be held accountable! These people from ACORN who have registered dead people should be held accountable! These people from ACORN who have promised poor people money to register numerous times should be held accountable! These people from ACORN who are harrassing people to register more than once to vote should be held accountable! One black man admitted to registering more than 70 times! Another woman said she told ACORN she had already registered and she was forced to register six more times! These people from ACORN should be prosecuted!
Acorn has registered over 1.3 million voters. In almost every state there is substantial proof that fake voter registrations have taken place. In Ohio, a critical state to both parties, a federal appeals court overturned a judge’s order to verify voter registration in the state. The 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals sided with the Democratic Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner. Brunner complained that it would take two or three days (!) to create a computer program to verify voter registration. According to her there wasn’t enough time do to that and, therefore, it would disrupt the electoral process in Ohio. What bullshit!
Why are people not protesting? Why are people not in an uproar? Why are people not taking to the streets demanding that this wrong be righted before the elections? Instead what are people doing about it? Nothing!!! Has it always been this way? I don’t think so! In the sixties we as young people took to the streets against corruption; against a blatant disregard for justice!
Today, no one seems to be concerned. No one is talking about it. Again, why are people not angry? Could it be because these millions of fake registrations are all signed up to vote for Obama? Could it be that the young people know that these fake registrations will help their candidate so why bother? Is that why people are wasting their time talking about why Sarah Palin had her ex-brother-in-law fired from his job, when fraudulent voter registration is rampant throughout the country?! Could be!
Maya Muses: Perhaps I’ve spent too much of my adult life involved in French politics and living under Pompidou, Giscard d’Estaing, Mitterrand, Chirac and now concerned with the relatively newly elected Sarkozy that I don’t realize this is the way it works in the States. Have American values changed so much from my childhood?
Never before have I seen such outright corruption in a campaign and no one gives a damn. This coming from a country who sticks it nose into other countries affairs! This coming from a country that sends help to foreign countries to assure that there is no voter fraud in other countries and that the citizens of those countries receive a fair election! This coming from a country that prides itself in “….truth, justice, and the American way.” Yeah right! What about your own country?! What a farce! What hypocrisy!
Where’s a wall so I can bang my head!

You are already banging your head against a wall!
The wall of ignorance;self-righteousness;
corruption;lies…you name it!
I don’t know what is needed to wake some people up from their sleep?
Sometimes I think we are all “drugged”or something?
That what I think or do will not change the world a bit…
That is when I’m fallen into one of my darn doubt holes!Everything seems dark and hopeless!
But then I focus on all the people who Do wonderful things, who Do make a difference..big or small things..That gives me hope…
Maybe the whole system of how we are used to live and value our way of living are falling apart?
Maybe that is why people don’t care anymore?
They feel it’s coming..
And while some are trying with what ever it takes to keep our way of living as it use to be….
Others have already begun to listen to another drumbeat!
It is scary…The 3 apes comes to my mind….
Don’t see, hear or say anything!Because everyone may go ape!
I don’t know…there is so much going on right now….
Things will change and we can either accept it or fight against it….
It will change nevertheless…
Well, there is much more to it….
I’m just a ordinary human being, using both my heart and mind…My motto is as I said before:Less is More!…I’m not sure everyone understand what that really means?
Don’t know if this makes any sense at all?
I find it hard to put words of what I “feel/sense!
Sorry…
But life is amazing! You better believe it!

I have a wonderful quote that I will put up soon that fits perfectly about what you are saying Mia! I just get angry when there is such injustice and hypocrisy taking place.
3 Tina // Oct 13, 2008 at 11:48 pm
I agree with Mia..
I’m living it right now…. My wages might be low, but I can pay the rent, get groceries and feed my cat…. I like simple things like a drink at happy hour or a magazine to read
times have certainly changed since I was younger as well…

I also agree that life is amazing and wonderful….especially when I stop banging my head against the wall! Lol.
5 Mia // Oct 14, 2008 at 12:24 pm
Yeah!
What do you really need when you think of it?
Oh.Tina…Life are really changing faster and faster.when you already can say that it was different when you were young!
Hey…It is a good thing when you realize that you don’t have to run around in the wheel of Maya and jump out of it!
Then you will really enjoy the world of illusions!
To be in it,but not identify yourself with it!
Will go out and enjoy the pleasure of just be here and now!
6 Lynn // Oct 14, 2008 at 11:40 pm
I thought that as well! When you realize that Tina is almost half our age and she’s talking about how times have changed! Our younger days must be ancient! LOL.
7 Tina // Oct 15, 2008 at 12:40 am
everyone experiences how their times have changed… when I was younger I didn’t dream of talking back to an adult or being disrespectful to someone older….
i’m not the only one… David is the same… he has seen lots of things change in his lifetime. at 16 he was drafted into the military to do 2 years of service with them.. he can tell you a lot of stories… he turns 31 in 17 days…
the important thing is at this rate is to have fun in your life….
8 Lynn // Oct 15, 2008 at 6:52 am
I know, I’m teasing you Tina….at your age and at David’s age which is very close, there have been a lot of changes that have taken place over 30 years. Look at all the changes in just the past ten to fifteen years.
Hardly anyone had the internet, the web was something new, there wasn’t any MP3s or cellphones or blackberries….the list goes on and on, and that’s just from the time you were a kid until now!
I’m with you, we have to make the most out of each day. That’s all we’ve really got!
9 Mia // Oct 15, 2008 at 8:35 am
Yeah…
Time is all changing….
So better live here and now!
One blink of an eye and it has changed!

They say, (Who are they? I don’t know! Scientist, engineers, technologists….) but anyway, they say (lol) that technology doubles every ten years, and by 2020 computers will outperform human intelligence.
In that same span of time, human robots will be built to look exactly like humans. When they’re massed produced, that’s when I think things will get a little scary! Mayaland will abound as more people will wonder if they’re living in a land of illusions!
11 Mia // Oct 15, 2008 at 8:05 pm
Then again;
if life is an illusion, if we all create this land of illusions…because then we are All part of living and creating it are we not?!
Is that a future we want to live in?
And then again…
As Tina said somewhere else…If this is a dream that someone else is dreaming what happens when the dreamer wakes up?Will we still exist?
Or will we All wake up?
And I don’t believe that computers will outperform human intelligence….
No way,I will ever believe that!
12 Lynn // Oct 16, 2008 at 7:02 am
Well we are all living an illusion, that’s what this physical world that we’re in is. Theologians have said it for centuries and now quantum physicists are finally realizing that it’s true, our Universe is an illusion that as you said, we create. Without our creating it, it wouldn’t exist.
For example, a question that they now ask is, “If no one would look at the Moon, would it still exist? Or does it exist because we look at it?
A great quote about that and one that I love is:
“For the scientist who has lived by his faith in the power of reason, the story ends like a bad dream. He has scaled the highest peak; as he pulls himself over the final rock, he is greeted by a band of theologians who have been sitting there for centuries.”
Robert Jastrow
Director of NASA’s Goddard Institue for Space Studies
I think the dream, or the nightmare for some, is our lives here. When we die, that’s really when we truly wake up and see this reality for what it was. Just like we do when we wake up from a dream.

As for when or if computers will ever surpass human intelligence….it may be sooner than we think! Here’s a couple of of websites on the subject.

Okay….
But you can’t get hugs and kisses from a computer…
You can’t make love to a computer…
Well,It will be darn uncomfortable if you try…
Sybersex?
Not as good as the real thing…But what do I know I have never tried it!LOL..
And then you can’t argue with a computer can you?
No…I prefer meetings with “real” people…
Intelligence are overestimated anyway!
I am more for EQ than IQ….
Can they add EQ to the computers as well?
15 Lynn // Oct 16, 2008 at 8:23 pm
Well, it’s said that they are creating a female robot that will be available in the not too distant future that will look, feel, and speak just like a real woman and that she’ll be able to have orgasms!
Patrick says the good thing about that is, if she starts arguing, you can always put her away in the closet, and she doesn’t need to eat or sleep! LOL. Like you said though, she may have a high IQ, but no EQ.
