One of the most romantic photographs in the world was Robert Doisneau’s Le Baiser de L’Hôtel de Ville. A private moment caught by his lens for all the world to enjoy in a voyeuristic moment in time, or so I thought! In 1993 Doisneau was taken to court and admitted to posing the shot he took back in 1950.
Whether some photos are posed or taken randomly, Paris is full of special moments. Yet what makes this city so electric, so palpable with romantic energy? Is it the Seine pulsing through the heart of Paris? Is it the Eiffel Tower sparkling like a diamond against the evening sky? Or is it the food, the wine, the music, or the art that satiates your senses until you’re heady and madly in love with this city?

I don’t think you’ll have any problems finding love in Madrid, but that said, it’ll come when you’re least expecting it. That’s what usually happens!

Mia, you’ve been everywhere else! You truly have to visit Paris and, of course, with your partner of 31 years! As I wrote in The Magic of Love in Paris, the romance seems to linger on longer in this beautiful city than in most other places.
