It’s All Maya!

If Life is an illusion, then why do I keep banging my head against the wall?

Si la Vie est une illusion, pourquoi je n'arrête pas de me taper la tête sur les murs?

A Quote For Thought

October 21st, 2008 · 10 Comments

Maya Muses:  I think everyone is tired of politics, even though it’s all anyone talks about.  I myself thought I would write a couple of posts on the subject, afterall this is an election year in the States.  Yet it seems that politics has been the topic I have written most about.  My quote for today, however, is a message of hope!

Dreaming Is Permitted

“One day, the people of the world will want peace so much that the governments are going to have to get out of their way and let them have it.”

Dwight D. Eisenhower

    Me too!
    Thanks a lot!

I hope this will happen soon!

Sometimes we humans are so stupid!
We all want peace and what do we create?
Doesn’t look or feel like peace to me!

It is as a friend of ours use to say..:
“People are not stupid they are more than stupid”….well, sometimes we are…

    Luckily enough not everyone are!
And hopefully we learn from it too!
Realizing how stupid we are and start behaving in another way!
    That gives me hope!
Give Peace a chance,as John Lennon sang!

When are we going to really DO that,I wonder!

I have been feeling like crap lately…
So that why I haven’t been commenting that much…

    And I am tired…not only of politics…hehe
So,I will create some Peace for myself by taking a hot bath, drinking some tea,and listening to some peaceful music!

If I am not commenting I’m still in here reading!

    Hugs to you Lynn!

    Translate,please!
    Your ;What am I doing….
Petit Chou is that not something you eat after dinner?A nick name maybe?

Je t’aime ..I do understand that!

    Bonne nuit..Good night?

    Manques..Don’t know what that means?

    Me too Tina!

I hope you’re feeling better Mia! My writings will be more peaceful as well (I hope) after the next two weeks when the elections are over!

I just can’t help myself when I see so much injustice going on that I have to comment! I usually like to stick up for the underdog! Why that is, I don’t know, but I’ve been that way all my life.

  • 5 Lynn // Oct 21, 2008 at 8:36 pm

I was saying “good night” to Katia! I use to call her “ma Petite Poupée” my little (baby)doll when she was younger.

Chou(x) means cabbage, but “mon petit chou” means my little sweetheart. Petit chou à la crème means cream puff. So, you can be saying, my little cabbage, my little sweetheart or my little cream puff! Whatever you prefer! Lol. Katarina thinks my little cabbage or cream puff is cuter!

Tu me manques means I miss you and, of course, je t’aime means I love you.

I used to do that too,I still do,but not in the same way as before…
I don’t know,I see injustice everywhere, it never seem to stop…But I try to see behind it all…Difficult to describe…
    I can’t for the moment…

I’m feeling a little better, but will go check my health Thursday morning, local time …Thanks.

    Thanks for the French lesson!
    Tu me manques!Mon ami!

Even if haven’t met yet in person…

Strange, but it feels like we have met before?
And that I wish we will meet soon again!
It has been too long since last time…

I felt similar feelings when I met France…that; finally we meet again…
And with Tina and Vivien…and believe it or not with Geraldine and Carlos too…

Sometimes that feeling is just there and I trust it!

    Sorry was a bit tired….

Even if I haven’t met you in person yet…

    I forgot I and You?hehe

I wouldn’t correct this if you didn’t thank me for the French lesson…lol. So, you would say, “tu me manques….mon amie. For a woman it would have an ‘e’ at the end; for a man it would be ami.

It’s a difficult language, even the French make a lot of mistakes in the written language! To think that’s why I stopped learning Japanese! When I saw that many Japanese people use a dictionary just to write a simple letter, well I didn’t want to keep banging my head against the wall so to speak! Lol.

I know what you mean! I think we feel like we’ve already met because we have so many views in common.

    Thanks for the correction!

    Mon amie!

No..to speak a language is one thing..To write it a totally different matter!

So true! Or as you would say in Swedish….Så sant! Or, “det är så sant!”

    Honestly, I don’t know! LOL!
