My niece Kerri came for a visit with her good friend Jackie and we were afraid that we had two teetotalers on our hands! Little did Patrick and I know that those two girls were going to keep right up with us, drink for drink! One of my favorite drinks is a Kir Royal. When my cousin Lisa came to Paris for a visit and we were at a restaurant not far from Beaubourg, I ordered one for her. Afterwards the waiter asked if we were going to have wine with dinner. Before I could say anything, Lisa lifted up her almost empty glass and said, “I’ll have a bottle of this!”
A Kir Royal is very easy to make. You take a champagne or a flute glass and fill the bottom with a tiny amount of Crème de Cassis which is a black currant cream liqueur. Pour about a tablespoon of cassis, a little more or less depending on the size of your glass and your taste, and then fill the glass with Champagne and serve! What could be easier?! (The color should be a light pink; if it’s a lot darker, you poured in too much cassis.) You can also make a plain Kir with white wine instead of Champagne, but it’s no longer royal. (Of course!)
Maya Muses: This is probably one time when I should refrain from talking about a land of illusions! Bottoms Up! Cheers! Cin-Cin! Salute! Salud! Proost! Skål! Santé! Etc.

I look like I’d already had a few in that photo!!! I must’ve been worn out from a hard day at the beach.

Mia, you’re right! I just have to make time. Perhaps in Madrid we’ll drink a Kir Royal with Tina and Vivi….and France. I spoke to her yesterday and she remembers the three of you very well.

I liked France the minute I met her…
Sorry,I didn’t had the chance to talk to her more…I guess she enjoyed talking French with Vivi, and the time just flew!
i wonder if she remembers my hubby too?
He gave her friend his seat ticket the second night on the Innocence concert…
He will be coming too…
See you in Madrid then!
I buy you a drink!
